17 Grande Réserve Turns 10 Years Old

This October marks the 10th anniversary of our specialty brew 17 Grande Réserve, the first commercial creation by Brewmaster Jerry Vietz. The 2017 brew is now available on the Canadian market in the 750 mL bottle format.

Born of a unique brew commemorating the 17th anniversary of the brewery, this beer appeared in the winter of 2007 without a label and bearing the simple name of Unibroue 17. It won two gold medals in its first year on the market. To this day, this ale has racked up a total of 24 prestigious international awards, including three first places in 2017 and the World’s Best Dark Ale award in 2010.

Aged with French oak, this highly complex beer is brewed once a year and returns every fall to charm us all under a new vintage. Its Grande Réserve appellation highlights its exceptional aging potential, which holds equal appeal for both craft beer enthusiasts and wine lovers.
