  • ½ cup of P’tite Maudite beer
  • 1 cup of maple syrup
  • Snow

Steps

  • In a medium saucepan, over medium heat, bring the beer to a boil for two minutes.
  • Add the maple syrup and mix.
  • Bring to a boil, making sure to stir regularly to prevent the syrup from overflowing.
  • Use a high-temperature thermometer to determine when the syrup is ready to be poured. It should reach a temperature of 115°C or 238°F.
  • Pour the syrup mixture over the snow in lines.
  • Wait 1 minute for the maple taffy to set, then roll it up using a wooden stick.
