meal made with the famous Maudite. A recipe that is sure to please!

Le Coup de Grâce


  • 1 small yellow onion, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 2 large carrots, halved lengthwise, thinly sliced
  • 2 stalks celery, sliced
  • Olive oil
  • 500 g ground pork
  • 1 tbsp. Italian spices
  • 1 tsp. dried oregano
  • 1 can (796 ml) diced tomatoes
  • 1 can (796 ml) crushed tomatoes
  • 5 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup Maudite beer by Unibroue
  • 1/4 cup of tomato paste
  • 1 tsp. of sugar
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 8 lasagna noodles, broken into pieces
  • 1 cup grated mozzarella
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan


  1. In a large saucepan heated over medium heat, add onion, garlic, carrots and celery, and drizzle with olive oil.
  2. Cook and stir for 5 to 6 minutes.
  3. Add pork and spices; season with salt and pepper, and mix well.
  4. Cook for 5 minutes, breaking the meat into small pieces.
  5. Except for the cheese, add the remaining ingredients, season with salt and pepper, and mix well.
  6. Bring to a boil, reduce heat to low and simmer for about 20 minutes or until pasta is cooked.
  7. Remove from heat, add cheese and stir for a few minutes until melted.
  8. Add a little chicken broth to adjust the consistency if necessary.
