Do you like Trois-Pistoles? Looking for a simple bread recipe? Not sure what to do with your garlic sprouts? This is the recipe for you. A warm slice with BLanche de Chambly butter melted on it is hard to resist.




Bread with beer

  • 375 ml Trois Pistoles
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 30 ml baking powder
  • 45 ml golden brown sugar
  • Softened butter
  • 5 ml salt
  • 60 ml melted butter
  • 3 garlic flower stems
  • 3 candied garlic cloves
  • 125 ml Gran Padano parmesa

Beer butter

  • 225 g softened butter
  • 50 ml Blanche de Chambly beer
  • 50 ml 35% cream


  1. Preheat oven at 350 °F.
  2. Grease a bread pan with butter.
  3. Combine flour, baking powder, brown sugar, salt, beer and candied garlic. Place in the bread pan.
  4. Blend the garlic flower stems and the butter with a mixer.
  5. Place this mix on the bread dough with the parmesan and bake for 55 minutes.
  6. Let cool and turn out.

Beer butter

  1. Blend in a food processor, place in a container and refrigerate for 12 hours.

*To get nice slices, turn the bread over before slicing.
