Caramel Pudding Cake with Don de Dieu


Serves 8 to 10

Ingredients for cake mix:
- 3 eggs
- 250 ml sugar
- 250 ml butter, softened
- 250 ml flour
- 15 ml baking powder
- 1 ml of salt
- 125 ml of milk
- 5 ml vanilla essence


Ingredients for the syrup:

- 12 oz. Don de Dieu

- 2 cups maple syrup

- ½ cup brown sugar 



  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Using a food processor or electric mixer, combine eggs, sugar, and butter. Set aside. Combine flour, baking soda, and salt in a bowl. Set aside.
  • Combine milk and vanilla extract in a small bowl. Alternately add dry ingredients and milk mixture to egg mixture. Stir 2 to 3 minutes until smooth. Set aside.
  • Bring beer, maple syrup, and brown sugar to a boil in a saucepan. Pour into a cake mould and cover with cake dough. Bake 35 to 45 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
