Caramel Pudding Cake with Don de Dieu
Serves 8 to 10

Ingredients
Cake Dough
- 3 eggs
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup flour
- 1 tbsp. baking soda
- ¼ tsp. salt
- ½ cup milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
Syrup
- 12 oz. Don de Dieu beer
- 2 cups maple syrup
- ½ cup brown sugar
Directions
Preheat oven to 350°F. Using a food processor or electric mixer, combine eggs, sugar, and butter. Set aside. Combine flour, baking soda, and salt in a bowl. Set aside. Combine milk and vanilla extract in a small bowl. Alternately add dry ingredients and milk mixture to egg mixture. Stir 2 to 3 minutes until smooth. Set aside. Bring beer, maple syrup, and brown sugar to a boil in a saucepan. Pour into a cake mould and cover with cake dough. Bake 35 to 45 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
